This here watch, they call it the OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8, “Dark Side of the Moon” or something. Sounds fancy, huh? It’s black, like the night sky, I reckon. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can tell it’s a nice one. Cost a pretty penny, I bet. More than I ever spent on a watch in my whole darn life.
They say it’s for some space thing. Apollo 8, like some rocket ship name? I don’t know much about all that, but it sure is somethin’. We never had nothin’ like this back in my day. Just a simple clock on the wall, that’s all we needed. And the sun, of course. Sun always tells the time, free of charge. Now these young folks, they need all these fancy gadgets. This CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster, it probably does everything but churn butter.
Now, this one, it ain’t the real deal. It’s a copy, they say. But it looks just like it, near as I can tell. Shiny and black, with all them little dials and buttons. Probably tells you the weather and how many steps you walked and Lord knows what all. Too complicated for me. I just need to know if it’s time to feed the chickens or time to eat supper.
If you’re gonna get a watch, might as well get one that looks good, right? Even if it ain’t the real thing. Who’s gonna know, anyway? Unless you’re runnin’ around with them fancy folks who know all about these OMEGA Speedmaster things. Not me. I wouldn’t know a real one from a fake one if it slapped me in the face. And they got all these deals, like “Pay 0 Deposit” and “3 Years 0% Finance.” What does that even mean? Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. Just pay for the darn watch and be done with it, that’s what I say. I bet they have the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Apollo 8 somewhere, too. Maybe not in those fancy stores, though.

You can buy a new one of these CopyOMEGA Speedmaster watches. They even have sales, I hear. You don’t even have to pay all at once, they let you pay a little bit each month. And they give you some free thing too, when you buy a watch from them. Not a bad deal, I guess. Better than payin’ full price.

And it’s probably a lot cheaper than the real one. So if you’re lookin’ for a fancy watch that won’t break the bank, this might be the one for you. Just don’t go tellin’ everyone it’s real, ’cause they might laugh at ya. Or maybe they won’t. Who knows these days. Everyone’s got their heads stuck in their phones anyway, they probably won’t even notice your watch!
