I’ve been wanting a two-tone blue Submariner for a while, the real deal, but man, those prices are just out of this world. So I started lookin’ into these high-imitation ones. I mean, who’s gonna know, right? They look pretty darn close to the real thing from what I’ve seen online.

It’s in my hands
First thing I did was weigh it. Came in at about 128g. Pretty close, I thought. Then I looked at the blue. It was deep, just like the real deal. The middle links, the crown, the bezel, they all looked like they were made of real gold, even though I knew they weren’t. Put it on my wrist. Felt good. Solid. Like it was worth way more than I paid for it.
Been wearin’ it for a few weeks now. Gotten a few compliments, even from people who I know own real Rolexes. No one’s called me out on it yet. So far, so good. I feel like I got away with somethin’, you know? Like I got this luxury watch without payin’ the luxury price.
I know it’s not the real deal, but for me, it’s close enough. It scratches that itch, you know? And honestly, unless someone’s inspectin’ it with a magnifying glass, I don’t think anyone’s gonna know the difference. Plus, I didn’t have to drop $30,000 or $40,000 on a watch, which is a huge win in my book.
