Okay, so I wanted to get one of those fancy watches, you know, the Rolex Submariner, but the blue and gold one, the “Two-tone Blue Submariner” they call it. Now, I ain’t made of money, so a real one was out of the question. I started looking around at these “High imitation” ones. Heard folks talking about them, saying they look just like the real deal.
First, I went online and looked at a bunch of pictures. They all looked pretty good, shiny and all. Some folks were saying “replica,” which I guess means it’s a copy. Seemed like a lot of people were interested in these, probably ’cause they’re way cheaper than a real Rolex.
Found a place that was selling them, and ordered one. It was exciting, like getting a real fancy gift. “Original order” was on it. Took a few days, but it finally arrived.
When I opened the box, man, it looked good. Really good. Shiny gold and that blue color. Had some weight to it too, felt substantial. But I remember someone saying something about the weight not being right. But I wouldn’t want to wear something too heavy all day anyway, right?
- It’s got that “automatic” thing, so you don’t have to wind it. That’s pretty neat.
- It’s two-tone, so it’s got gold and, I guess, silver or stainless steel. Looks sharp.
- The blue color is nice, but maybe not exactly like the real one. I don’t know, I’ve never seen a real one up close.
I wore it around for a few days, showing it off a bit. Got some compliments, people thinking it was real. Felt good. Then someone pointed out that the blue color wasn’t quite right, and another person said the little turny thing, the “bezel,” didn’t feel as smooth as it should. Made me a bit self-conscious, I guess. Started noticing that the bracelet felt a bit light, not as heavy as I thought a real expensive watch would feel.
My Thoughts After a While
So, yeah, it’s a good-looking watch, especially for the price. It’s not a real Rolex, obviously, but it gives you that look. But if you’re around people who know watches, they might be able to tell it’s not real. I started thinking, do I really want to pretend to have something I don’t? I don’t know. It’s a tough one. I mean, I like the style, but it’s still a copy.
I still wear it sometimes, but not as much as before. I guess it’s a good reminder that sometimes, it’s okay to just be yourself, you know? No need to pretend to be something you’re not. But hey, it was an experience, and I learned a bit about these “High imitation” watches. Maybe I’ll save up for a real nice watch someday, not a Rolex, but something that’s really me.
