Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this here… uh… Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL MANHATTAN BAG Classic Style. Yeah, that fancy name, sounds like somethin’ them city folks would carry.
So, this MANHATTAN BAG, it’s supposed to be, what they call, a “classic.” Now, I don’t know much about “classic,” but I reckon it means it’s been around for a while, or maybe it just looks like somethin’ from back in the day. You know, like them old cars, they still look good, even now. This bag, it’s kinda like that, I guess.
First off, let’s talk about the looks. It ain’t no flashy thing, all covered in sparkles and whatnots. It’s more… plain, you see. But not plain like a potato sack, mind you. It’s got this… shape, kinda like a… well, like a box, but not a square box, more like… a longish box. And it’s got this flap thing on top, you know, to keep your stuff from fallin’ out. That’s important, can’t have your things scatterin’ all over the place, like chickens in the yard.
Now, the material… they say it’s made of leather. Real leather, not that fake stuff. Leather’s good, it lasts a long time. My old boots, they were leather, lasted me for years. So, I figure this bag, it’s gonna last too. And it’s got this… stitching, all neat and tidy. Not like my old quilts, all crooked and whatnot. These city folks, they sure know how to sew straight.
They got different colors too. Black, brown, maybe even red, I saw in some picture. Black’s practical, I guess. Don’t show dirt much. But that red one, it was kinda… pretty. Like a ripe tomato. But me, I’d probably stick with black. Practical, you know? Like a good pair of work boots.

Now, they say this bag is “coveted.” That’s a fancy word. Means everybody wants it, I reckon. Like a good piece of pie at a church picnic. Everybody wants a slice. Why do they want it? Well, I guess ’cause it’s one of them “designer” things. Means some fancy fella in the city, this Yves Saint Laurent person, he made it. And apparently, he’s a big deal. Like a prize-winning bull at the county fair.
But here’s what I don’t get. They charge a whole lot of money for this bag. More money than I make in a month, I bet. For a bag! Now, I carry my stuff in a tote bag, the kind they give out at the grocery store. It works just fine. But I guess these city folks, they like to spend their money on fancy things. To each their own, I say. It ain’t gonna make the sun shine any brighter or the corn grow any taller.
Is it worth the money? Well, that depends on who you ask. If you got money to burn, I guess it don’t matter. But if you’re like me, workin’ hard for every penny, then probably not. You could buy a whole lotta groceries with that money. Or a good pair of work boots, like I said. Boots are more practical, you see. You need boots to work in the garden. You can’t garden with a fancy bag.
So, there you have it. That’s my take on this Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL MANHATTAN BAG Classic Style. It’s a bag, a fancy bag, made of leather, looks like a longish box. People seem to like it, but it costs a whole lot of money. Me? I’ll stick with my tote bag. It holds my stuff just fine. And I can use the extra money to buy somethin’ useful, like, maybe some seeds for the spring plantin’. Now, that’s somethin’ worth spendin’ money on.
